Ferny Hills is one of Brisbane’s most dog-friendly suburbs, with plenty of quiet streets, leafy walking routes and spacious local parks that make it ideal for safe, enriching dog walks. Our caregivers regularly explore George Willmore Park, a favourite for dogs who enjoy open grassy areas and gentle sniffing trails. For pets who prefer quieter environments, we often use the Lomandra Park surrounds and the peaceful residential loops near Ferny Hills Primary.
More confident or energetic dogs enjoy longer routes towards Ferny Hills Dog Park or the shaded footpaths that link through to Arana Hills and Ferny Grove. Whether your dog needs a calm, predictable stroll or a more stimulating walk with variety and enrichment, Ferny Hills offers a great mix of terrain and routes that we tailor to your dog’s individual needs.

Peace-of-mind check-ins while you’re away. We keep pets comfy at home with feeds, fresh water, and play—plus quick home care so everything’s as you left it.

Short, reliable visits for feeding, toilet breaks and enrichment—perfect for busy days or when you’re out a bit longer than planned.

Sleep soundly while we keep your pet’s routine on track at home. Your sitter stays overnight, handles evening and morning care, and keeps you updated.

Each Furfolk walker is carefully screened, insured, and police-checked. We match your dog with a consistent carer who gets to know their routine, personality, and favourite routes. You’ll receive photo updates and detailed notes after every walk, so you always know how your best friend went.

From energetic puppies to senior dogs who prefer a gentle pace, we tailor every walk to suit your pet’s needs. Choose between 30-minute, 45-minute, or 60-minute walks — solo or household pairings — and we’ll make sure your dog enjoys a comfortable, enriching experience every time.
We offer regular recurring walks or casual one-offs, whatever fits your routine. You can book, reschedule, or cancel easily online or via message. We walk seven days a week, including weekends and public holidays.

Before any walker begins working with Furfolk, they must first complete our tailored training programme and pass a thorough vetting process, which includes dog-handling safety tests, phone screening and police checks. Our top priority is making sure Pet Parents feel safe entrusting their dogs’ care to our walkers and caregivers.
When you schedule a dog walking service through Furfolk, you can chat with your Pet Caregiver before, during and after the walk. Feel free to ask as many questions as you like once you’ve scheduled your service. We also encourage our Pet Caregivers to ask Pet Parents about their preferences and their dog’s unique needs, so every walk can be tailored to your dog, not just the timetable.
At Furfolk, we focus on tailored, low-stress walks that match your dog’s normal routine. We only walk dogs from the same household during each service, along familiar local routes. This way, your dog isn’t overwhelmed by unfamiliar dogs, and we can give your pets our full attention.
Yes. We strongly encourage a free meet-and-greet before your first booking.
Your walker will come to your home to:
Get to know you and your dog
Go through your routine (feeding, walking routes, keys, alarms, etc.)
Check equipment fits properly (collar, harness, lead)
Talk through any health issues, anxieties or house rules
It’s also your chance to ask questions and make sure you’re comfortable before we start regular walks.
Many of the dogs we care for have quirks, anxieties or specific needs, and that’s completely okay. When you book, we’ll ask detailed questions about your dog’s history, triggers, routines and any vet or trainer instructions.
We only walk dogs from the same household and avoid crowded areas or off-lead dog parks for anxious or reactive dogs. Your walker will follow your handling preferences (e.g. no off-lead, crossing the street to avoid other dogs, specific harness or muzzle use) so your dog can feel as safe as possible.
We’re not behaviourists or vets, but we’re happy to work alongside them and stick closely to any management plan you already have in place.
Your dog’s safety and comfort come first.
In light rain or mild weather, we usually continue with walks, sticking to safe local routes and towel-drying your dog afterwards if needed.
In heavy rain, storms, high winds or very hot conditions, we’ll either switch to a short toilet break plus indoor play/enrichment, or reschedule the walk in consultation with you.
We keep an eye on local weather warnings and will always choose the safest option for your dog, rather than pushing on just to “get the walk done”.
We provide private dog walking services throughout Ferny Hills, including surrounding residential streets.
We provide friendly, reliable dog walking and in-home pet sitting across Brisbane’s Northside, with regular visits in Warner, Bray Park, Strathpine, Albany Creek, Eatons Hill and surrounding suburbs.
Our local team also supports pets in Keperra, Ashgrove, Gaythorne, Arana Hills, Mitchelton, Ferny Grove, Ferny Hills, Everton Hills, Upper Kedron, Samford Village and Enoggera.
If you’re looking for a dog walker or pet sitter in North Brisbane and don’t see your suburb listed, get in touch, chances are we already have a sitter nearby.
We’d love to meet you and your furry family. A quick meet & greet helps us understand your pet’s routine, personality, and what makes them happiest — so we can care for them just the way you do.
