We take safety seriously — for your pets, your home and our carers. Before every visit, we check for anything that might put your pet or our team at risk, such as hazards, extreme weather or health concerns. We follow safe handling and hygiene practices, and we rely on you to share important information about your pet’s behaviour, health and environment so we can plan the safest approach. If your pet ever seems unwell or something unexpected happens, we’ll contact you quickly and follow your instructions. Our goal is to provide care that is not only kind, but consistently safe and responsible.

We maintain strong health and safety practices to protect your pets, your home, and our carers. This page outlines how we reduce risk and ensure safe delivery of all services.
Every visit begins with a quick safety assessment — checking gates, access points, environmental hazards, and your pet’s condition. Carers receive training in safe handling, household hygiene, and risk awareness.
We may pause or decline a service if conditions pose a risk to your pet or our carers.
To help keep everyone safe, we ask that pets are up-to-date with core vaccinations or have a documented veterinary exemption. We also rely on you to disclose:
recent illness or injury
behavioural concerns
zoonotic risks
any special handling considerations
Our carers can administer oral or topical medications as directed but cannot administer injections. For complex medical needs, we ask that you provide clear instructions and ensure medications are prepared and accessible.
We check for hazards such as damaged fences, toxic plants, loose objects, extreme heat or storm risks. Walks may be adjusted or shortened during severe weather to protect pets.
Carers wash hands or sanitise before and after each visit, manage waste safely, and maintain clean equipment. If your pet requires additional cleaning supplies, please leave them accessible.
